I’m Mel, a photographer based in the seaside town of Ocean Grove on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula, Wadawurrung Country. 

My photography centres around places, people and creative spaces. Focusing on composition, details and the use of natural light, I capture mood and atmosphere to create images people will connect with while also encompassing the story behind your brand with the same care and intention you’ve put into creating it.

As a graduate of The Hosting Masterclass, Sarah Andrews’ online school for hosts, I understand the importance of authentic storytelling through beautiful imagery that resonates with your audience. Whether I’m working with boutique accomodation, lifestyle brands or creatives in their studio, I create story driven imagery that will elevate your brand and increase your visibility.

I’m forever seeking light and its magical ability to transform simplicity into unique moments of beauty. As I spend time in your space, you might also find me capturing snippets of reflections and pretty dancing shadows that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. Documenting the fleeting moments in between so that you don’t have to miss them, because those are my favourite moments of all.

    Evoking a sense of place and emotion through my images, I’ll capture the essence of your home and how it feels for guests to be in the space.

    You’ll receive a full gallery of carefully selected and edited images (internal, external & lovely corners or details) delivered in both high resolution and web size.

    For local businesses and boutique stays within The Bellarine Peninsula & Geelong, I also offer a ’Love Local’ shoot.

    Portrait, Process & Product photography. A lifestyle shoot for the creative, held within your studio/business or home, capturing beautiful imagery and telling the story of your craft.

    A gallery of carefully selected and edited images delivered in both high resolution and web size.

    PORTRAITS/HEADSHOTS

    Atmospheric portraits/headshots using natural light. I like to keep it relaxed and comfortable, so sessions can be held at your studio/workplace, home or or an outdoor location.

    A gallery of carefully selected and edited images available to download in high resolution for printing and web size for use on all of your social platforms.

  • I’m based on The Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria.

    Yes I’m happy to venture far and wide, and regularly travelling throughout Australia.

    Around the Bellarine Peninsula & Geelong travel is complimentary. For locations beyond this, a travel fee applies and will vary depending on location. When travelling interstate I will always endeavour to work with my clients to find the most affordable and suitable options.

  • Your images will be available within 7 days, beautifully presented via a personalised online gallery. If I am travelling please allow 2 weeks.

  • You will have a non-exclusive standard license for personal use of the images on all of your social platforms, website and airbnb listings. This does not allow for images to be shared with third parties (eg. suppliers, trades, publications etc) However, if you would like to share your images for PR with third parties I am very happy to collaborate and chat about options so please just ask!

  • I will capture your space just as you have it prepared & styled for my arrival. However, I will make use of items you have around the property to create welcoming scenes such as a cuppa & blanket or book on the sofa, running a bath etc.

  • I don’t provide RAW (unedited) files as the careful editing of the images I capture is an essential part of my process, enabling me to tell your story and bring it all to life.
